Understanding Reward Balance Terminology and Auto-Recharge Settings

Last updated: October 30, 2025

When viewing your reward balance dashboard, you'll see several terms that track your wallet activity. Here's what each one means:

Balance Terminology

  • Starting Balance: The balance in your wallet at the start of the month. For example, if last month began with $500 and caregivers redeemed $300, the new month's starting balance would be $200.

  • Ending Balance: The balance in your wallet when the month ends. Using the same example, the ending balance from the previous month would be $200.

  • Rewards Redeemed: The total dollar value in rewards that caregivers have redeemed during the selected time frame.

  • Deposit: Any amount that has been added to the wallet by your organization using your payment method.

  • Credit: Any amount added to your wallet by Zingage.

Auto-Recharge Settings

If you see a message like "You have manually set your prepaid balance to $400.00 and we'll recharge to that once it reaches $200.00," this means:

  • When your wallet balance drops to $200, your payment method will automatically be charged

  • The charge will add the stated amount (in this example $400) to your wallet

  • This is a recurring setting, not a one-time charge

Note: There is currently a known issue that may prevent auto-recharge from working properly. If your balance reaches the recharge threshold but doesn't automatically refill, you may need to manually add funds through Settings > Reward Balance.

Adding Funds Manually

If you need to add funds to your reward balance:

  1. Go to Settings > Reward Balance

  2. Click the "Add Funds" button

  3. If you see a "Retry Payment" button (in red), click it and follow the steps to refresh your payment method

This will ensure caregivers can continue redeeming rewards without interruption.
