Understanding How Spot Rewards Are Shared: Private vs. Social Feed

Last updated: November 19, 2025

When sending Spot rewards to caregivers through Zingage, it’s important to understand the difference between private and public (social feed) delivery—and how each affects visibility of the reward.

Private Spot Rewards

When you choose to send a reward privately, the message and reward are visible only to the recipient. This is the best option when you want to recognize someone without sharing it with the full caregiver community. This ensures the caregiver receives their recognition directly, without broadcasting it to others.

To do that, toggle on (green) the privacy toggle when sending a spot reward:

📣 What Happens If You Post to the Social Feed?

If a Spot reward is not sent privately and instead goes to the company’s social feed:

  • The caregiver’s name and the message you included will be visible to everyone in the feed.

  • However, the amount of points or money awarded is never displayed publicly.

This feature allows admins to recognize great work in a more community-driven way while still protecting sensitive reward details. For example:

🔍 How to Double-Check Visibility

Not sure how a reward was sent? You can:

  • Check the company news feed to see if the message appears publicly. The post would be immediate. If you refresh and it's not there, it was sent privately. Verify by clicking the activities tab on the recipient's employee scorecard view.
