Understanding Points Expiry and Resets in Zingage

Last updated: October 16, 2025

Points in Zingage do not automatically expire on March 15th. While some agencies choose to use March 15th as a reset date for their own accounting or tax purposes, this is not a system default.

Instead, Zingage gives you control over when (or if) to reset points by using the Rewards Balance Settings.

How the Reset Setting Works

Only Owner level users have access to this setting. You can find this setting under:
Settings → Rewards Balance → Other Global Settings

Here, you can select a year for points to reset.

  • Example 1:
If on February 1, 2026 you enter the year 2025, all points from 2025 will be removed. Only points earned in 2026 will remain in caregiver balances.

  • Example 2:
If on February 1, 2026 you enter the year 2026, then at the end of 2026, all points from that year will be removed.

Key Takeaways

  • March 15th is not a system rule. It’s simply a date some agencies choose for internal purposes.

  • You can select the year you’d like to perform a reset for, but Zingage does not reset points automatically on March 15th.

  • The timing of a reset is entirely up to your agency’s policies.

Best Practice

If you’re unsure when to reset points, we recommend consulting with your financial or tax advisor. Zingage provides the tools for resets, but your agency decides how and when to apply them.
